This Privacy Notice explains how Vetted ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this notice.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, company, password hash.
• Job & candidate data: job descriptions and applicant materials (resumes, contact details) that you or applicants submit.
• Billing data: processed by our payment provider Paddle. We store your subscription status and plan; card details are never seen or stored by us.
• Usage data: log data, device info, cookies used to keep you signed in and to measure product usage.

2. How we use information

• To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
• To evaluate and shortlist candidates as instructed by the hiring company.
• To process payments, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
• To send transactional emails (account, billing, product notices).

3. Legal bases

We rely on contract performance, legitimate interests (product security and improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligation.

4. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the Service: hosting, database and auth (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), payments (Paddle as Merchant of Record), email delivery, and AI evaluation providers. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where required we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

Account and candidate data is kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and dispute obligations. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@aqlanai.com.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is 100% secure; report suspected issues to support@aqlanai.com.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this notice; material changes will be communicated by email or in-app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
